What is it?
Intervention
Intervention means you can participate in the permitting process.
Intervention is what gives you a voice.
Anyone can apply for intervention. Not everyone will be granted it. You must prove you have an interest in the case that can’t be represented by another party.
Intervention allows you to:
conduct discovery of other parties.
file pleadings that request IUC action or are in response to other parties’ requests for IUC action.
file written testimony for yourself or other witnesses.
take part in the hearing and present testimony, cross-examine witnesses, etc.
file a post-hearing brief discussing all the issues.
